Comparison · Tested
Sellerboard vs Agent Central, tested with the same AI agent.
Sellerboard is a profit dashboard for Amazon sellers, and it also runs an MCP server that lets an AI assistant read your Sellerboard data. We connected both to the same AI agent on the same US seller account and asked four questions sellers ask every week, each in a fresh session.
The sales totals agreed within about 1%, so accuracy wasn’t what separated them; speed and effort were. Agent Central answered every question faster, 132 seconds in total against 238, with 8 calls to Sellerboard’s 24. On wasted search-term spend, Sellerboard’s assistant needed 13 calls and still missed several of the biggest spenders.

Sales figures
Checked on the same date windows, the two sales totals were within 0.3% to 1.1% of each other. For the same week last year both picked September 7 to 13, 2025, and landed 1.1% apart.
Which “last week”
Agent Central used the last seven finished days and marked the most recent ones as not yet final. Sellerboard used the last full Monday-to-Sunday week. Each total was right for the week it chose.
Wasted search-term spend
Agent Central filtered straight for terms that spent without a sale and returned a ranked list with its spend threshold stated. Sellerboard’s assistant went through 13 calls and ended with nine examples that left out several bigger spenders.
Search-term spend matched
Pulled for the same 30 days at the same level of detail, 829 of the 863 search terms both services listed showed identical spend, to the cent.
Year over year
Agent Central compared sales, units and revenue per unit, and marked the current week as preliminary. Sellerboard’s comparison also carried profit and refunds from its own cost model, and took longer to arrive.
Why Sellerboard needs more calls
Each Sellerboard session starts by looking up the account, date ranges come from a separate lookup, and reports can reply that they are still preparing, so the agent has to ask again. An Agent Central connection already belongs to one account and marketplace.
What Agent Central adds
What Sellerboard’s MCP server doesn’t reach.
Fewer calls, faster answers
Agent Central used 8 calls to Sellerboard’s 24 across the four questions and was faster on every one, because your assistant goes straight to the data instead of setting up a session first.
Changes, with a preview
Your assistant can update bids, change campaign states, create keywords, adjust prices and inventory, and create listings. Every change is previewed first and logged with its old and new value. Sellerboard’s MCP server is read-only.
Live checks against Amazon
Buy Box, competitive pricing, current rank, FBA eligibility and listing restrictions come straight from Amazon when you ask, next to your sales and ad history.
Listing health in the same chat
Suppressed listings, listing issues and catalog changes sit next to sales and ad spend, so your assistant can tie a drop in sales to the listing problem behind it.
How shoppers find you
Search Query Performance, Brand Analytics search terms, keyword ranks and share of voice show the demand around your products, not only what your ads spent.
Every marketplace, every assistant
23 marketplaces are included in the price, with setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support MCP.
What Sellerboard does well
- It tracks your cost of goods, FIFO batches included, plus your other business expenses, so its profit figures account for what you paid for inventory.
- Purchase orders, suppliers and restock forecasts live in the same app.
- Plans start at $19 a month, with a one-month free trial and no card.
How we tested
We used one US seller account that we operate, which sells about 1,000 units a week across roughly 50 products and runs Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands campaigns. Both services were connected to the same AI agent running the same model, and the agent could use only their tools, with no web search, files or other tools. Each question ran in a fresh session.
Neither service was allowed to change anything. Times include the agent’s own reasoning, and Sellerboard had already served some of these date ranges before the test, which can only have helped its times. Afterwards we checked the sales and search-term figures against each other on matching date windows. The test doesn’t cover making changes, Sellerboard’s own app, or profit after cost of goods.

FAQ
Common questions about the two.
Does Sellerboard work with Claude or ChatGPT?+
Sellerboard runs an MCP server that assistants supporting MCP can connect to with a Sellerboard login, though its website doesn’t document it. In our test it worked as a read-only connection. Agent Central has setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.
Can Sellerboard’s AI connection change my Amazon account?+
No. Its MCP server reads your Sellerboard data and can generate report files, but it can’t change bids, listings, prices or anything else in your Amazon account. Agent Central can, with every change previewed first and logged with its old and new value.
Does Agent Central track cost of goods like Sellerboard?+
No. Agent Central ranks products by profit after Amazon fees and ad spend and says what it leaves out, such as cost of goods. If you already keep your costs in Sellerboard, the two work well side by side.
Which one answers faster?+
In our test Agent Central answered all four questions faster: 132 seconds in total against Sellerboard’s 238, a median of 33.1 seconds against 48.8, and 8 calls against 24.
Do Sellerboard and Agent Central report the same sales?+
Very nearly. On the same date windows their sales totals were within 0.3% to 1.1% of each other, and 829 of the 863 search terms both listed showed identical ad spend.
How much does each cost?+
Sellerboard runs from $19 to $79 a month by order volume, with a one-month free trial. Agent Central runs from $39 to $159 a month by order volume, with custom pricing above 20,000 orders a month and a 14-day free trial with no card.
Can I use Sellerboard and Agent Central together?+
Yes. Both can be connected to the same assistant. Sellerboard brings your cost of goods and expenses, and Agent Central brings ads detail, live Amazon checks and the ability to make changes. Name the one you want if you have a preference.
