Inventory
See which Amazon SKUs run out of stock in the next 30 days.
Agent Central connects the AI you already use to your Amazon Seller Central account. Yes, AI can tell you which SKUs will run out in the next 30 days: ask Claude or ChatGPT for products with less than 30 days of cover, and it gets each ASIN’s days of cover from FBA fulfillable and inbound stock divided by recent sales velocity, with stock held in AWD shown next to it, most urgent first.
Agent Central returns the numbers and labels, such as days of cover and a stockout flag at the threshold you set, plus Amazon’s own restock fields labeled as Amazon’s. What to reorder or move stays your call and your agent’s.
Last updated October 5, 2026.
- Days of cover
- FBA fulfillable plus inbound units, divided by daily sales over a 7 to 90 day lookback.
- AWD
- On-hand and inbound units in Amazon Warehousing and Distribution.
- Inbound
- FBA shipment status and shipped versus received units per SKU.
- Velocity
- Units and orders by day, week, or month.
- Boundary
- Facts and labels only, with no reorder advice from Agent Central.
Stockout check
Can AI tell me which of my Amazon SKUs will run out of stock in the next 30 days?
Yes. Ask in plain English and name the window. Agent Central filters to the products below your cover threshold and sorts the most urgent first, so Claude reads a short list instead of an inventory export, then explains which ones are at risk and why.
Ask your assistant
- 01Which of my products have less than 30 days of cover, based on the last 30 days of sales?
- 02For those products, how many units are in AWD, and how much would that add to their cover?
- 03Which inbound shipments for my low-cover SKUs are still shipped or receiving, and were any received short?
- 04Compare this week’s sales velocity with the last 30 days for my ten lowest-cover ASINs.
- 05Flag anything with more than 180 days of cover, or stock older than a year.
What comes back
- Days of cover
- Per ASIN, from FBA fulfillable plus FBA inbound units divided by daily sales over a lookback you choose, from 7 to 90 days.
- AWD
- On-hand and inbound units in Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, shown next to cover but not counted in it, because AWD stock has to move to FBA before it can sell.
- Inbound
- FBA shipment status, plus shipped versus received units for each SKU on each shipment.
- Sales velocity
- Units and orders by day, week, or month, from Amazon order data and Business Reports.
- Risk labels
- Stockout and overstock flags at the day thresholds you set, plus aged inventory (over 365 days), suppressed listing, unfulfillable, and data-gap flags.
- Amazon fields
- Amazon’s recommended ship-in quantity, weeks of cover, and stock age from the FBA inventory health report, labeled as Amazon’s.
Boundary
Facts for the decision, not the decision.
Agent Central doesn’t tell you what to reorder. It returns cover, velocity, inbound, and AWD as numbers with their formulas, and relays Amazon’s own restock fields as Amazon’s. Your agent can combine them with your lead times, case packs, and supplier minimums to draft a plan you review.
- Formula
- Days of cover = (FBA fulfillable + FBA inbound) / average daily units sold over the lookback.
- Thresholds
- Stockout and overstock flags use the day thresholds in your question, not a hidden score.
- Data gaps
- Products with missing stock or sales history get an explicit coverage state instead of an invented cover number.
Every morning
Run the stockout check on a schedule.
Give an agent that supports scheduled jobs a standing prompt, such as “list products under 30 days of cover and any inbound shipment received short”, and read the answer each morning. The Agent Central CLI can also save a dated inventory snapshot from cron for your agent to read.
- Assistants
- Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, and other MCP clients.
- Command line
- The CLI automation guide opens with a cron job that saves inventory health to a dated file every morning.
FAQ
Questions sellers ask.
Can AI tell me which of my Amazon SKUs will run out of stock in the next 30 days?
Yes. Connect Amazon Seller Central to Agent Central, add it to Claude or ChatGPT, and ask which products have less than 30 days of cover. The assistant gets each ASIN’s days of cover from FBA fulfillable and inbound stock divided by recent sales velocity, with AWD stock, inbound shipment status, and stockout flags alongside, sorted most urgent first.
How does Agent Central calculate days of cover?
Days of cover is FBA fulfillable units plus FBA inbound units, divided by the average daily units sold over a lookback you choose, from 7 to 90 days. AWD stock is reported separately and is not counted, because it has to move to FBA before it can sell.
Does it include stock in Amazon Warehousing and Distribution?
Yes, as its own field. AWD on-hand and inbound units are shown next to each product’s days of cover, so your agent can see how much of a shortfall stock you already own could cover, but AWD is not counted in days of cover itself.
Will Agent Central tell me how much to reorder?
No. Agent Central returns days of cover, sales velocity, inbound, AWD, and stockout and overstock flags at the thresholds you set, and relays Amazon’s own recommended ship-in quantity labeled as Amazon’s. Your agent can turn those facts into a reorder plan for you to review.
